I know we're a bit behind on our posting, but we haven't had convenient internet access for the past few nights. Tonight's our last hotel night; we're staying in Narita which was an hour's train ride outside Tokyo, but right next to the airport.

We saw lots of beautiful sights in Kyoto and made a quick trip out to Nara, which was celebrating the fact that it had been 1300 years since it was named Japan's first permanent capital city. There were lots of special things to do in addition to feeding the deer in the park, which was definitely an experience!

We leave tomorrow to go back home, and we're all packed and ready to go. We had to buy another bag so that we could bring back all our souvenirs and presents. Apparently you get two free bags on flights not involving the USA or Europe, so we won't have to pay extra to bring everything home!

We'll be a bit sad that the trip is over, but it will be good to see some familiar people and places! We can't wait to share our stories and photos with you all!

Here is a tiny preview: Philip getting accosted by deer in Nara!
